Patron, President, Deputy President,
Life Members, Vice Presidents &
ALL AFFILIATED LEAGUES
Dear Sirs/ Madam,
Re: NWCFA General Secretary.
Please be advised that I
have been appointed the new General
Secretary of the North Wales Coast Football Association with immediate effect.
Will you kindly circulate a
copy of this letter to all your member club and to
ensure that all relevant correspondence in relation to this Association is now
sent to the above address. Due to family reasons, I will be unavailable to
respond to any correspondence between 19th
September until 18th October 2011, however, you will be able
to contact and leave messages on my mobile number.
I look forward very much in
dealing with every League within our Association and if I can be of any
assistance at any time please do not hesitate to contact me. Likewise, as you
all well know, this Association continues to face many challenges in its
ultimate goal of achieving stability and no doubt I will be relying on your
full co-operation and understanding to enable us all to move forward at all
times. The next 3 months will see a new Executive Council formed and we cannot
revisit the scenes that have been witnessed during the last 12 months. There
are also other pressing issues that need addressing and these cannot be
achieved if there is hindrance – we must all work together to achieve progress.
As some of you also know, I have been involved with many Leagues over the last
decade that has culminated in disputes and appeals and I’m not afraid to say
that I know one or two of you have your opinions on the way I do things.
Nevertheless, I will not allow this to deter me from treating all Leagues on a
level footing and hopefully any situations will be conducted on its merit and
that decisions made will be in the best interest concerned. Naturally not
everyone will agree whenever a decision goes against someone, albeit, I will
try to be transparent as possible as long as one is prepared to listen to the
argument from both sides. One thing is for sure, we are all here for one thing
therefore let us not get carried away with petty squabbling and vendettas and
conduct ourselves in an orderly manner at all times. I will also keep
Senior Leagues, in particular, fully informed of any relevant information
that comes to light on
pertinent issues and I would expect all Leagues to return the favour and
hopefully I will be able to respond to any issues within a reasonable
timescale.
The message is clear –
please work with me and not against me
Yours sincerely,
Alun Foulkes
NWCFA General Secretary.
